Description

Echo Bend is located 3 miles up the Crow Pass trail, nestled below the north slopes of Eagle Peak. The climbs vary from single pitch WI3 to multipitch WI4+, and tend to remain in season a bit longer than climbs at a lower elevation. Be aware that this area features several climbs in avalanche zones - use caution after larger snowfall.

Getting There

The most common approach is following the well traveled/marked Crow Pass trail from ERNC, where you will then be tasked with crossing the river at Echo Bend. Use your best discretion for the crossing, as the river can be deep.

Another option is to descend to the river near the Rapids Camp (about 1.9 miles from the parking) and follow the river if sufficiently frozen. Once again, exercise caution, as falling in would not be pleasant.
