Rusty Point Rock Climbing

The first area you will arrive at, with the largest number of routes. What most will likely consider the "main area". Slightly shorter on average than the other walls around the corner to the east. This was where all the initial development was concentrated. The rock is very clean and solid due to greater traffic over time. A nice mix of cracks, faces, and aretes, with classics including The Green Drip (5.8 sport), Moss Never Sleeps (5.8 trad), Bergen's Arete (5.10 sport), Mine Shaft Gap (5.8 trad), Left Side Story (5.10+ sport), and Velociraptor (5.10- trad).

It contains both westerly and southerly aspects, and gets perhaps a bit more shade than the other walls. The central section of the cliff also has a wonderfully convenient downed log to serve as a bench for belaying and chilling. The north and east sections need a lot more work to establish belay areas.
