Description
Sunny climbing, though in the afternoon you can be in the towers shadow.
Climbing rock is all sandstone so helmet is required
Usually during boat season you will see lots of boats and traffic around. Lots of hikers but during off season much besides campers walking the trial
Getting There
Once arriving at rocktowns parking lot at 38.94971° N, 98.53364° W you will see a limestone trial head colored in red that reads “rocktown trial” from there go off then the next and follow the mowed trial for a half mile. There is a fork in the road. Take the left fork and it’s 1.75 to the water edge. Once to the water edge follow the trail till you see the tower! Can’t miss it. If you take a right in the fork, it’s 3xs as long with harder terrain.
