Cupids Bower is located on the downstream end of Sherwin Island.  The usual approach to this outcrop is from Old Angler's Inn Parking area. Hike upstream along the tow path for a 1/4 mile.  At this point it is possible to see a broken cement culverts in the river.  take the path leading down to the culvert.  At the culvert, cross the river as best able, and follow the trails on Sherwin Island downstream.  Cupid's Bower is set back nearly 200 feets from the downstream tip of the island.
