Description Suggest change

Large flat glacial moraine near the toe of the Cantwell Glacier. Surrounded by mountains, the southwest aspect has great slopes for skiing and the ENE aspect is made up of a steep jagged mountain and large cliff bands with ice and mixed lines.

Getting There Suggest change

From the small pullout at mile 200 of the Parks highway pick your path WNW towards Cantwell Creek. Once you reach the creek follow it until it bends to the north. You can continue to follow the creek or make your way up along the bluffs on the east side of the creek to the wilderness boundary, if on snowmachine you must park them at this boundary. From here follow the broad creek to the glacial moraine where many flat rocky campspots abound even in winter/spring. 13 mile approach, some of this can be done by snowmachine provided adequate snow cover (as determined by the NPS).
