Description

A north facing wall roughly 500' uphill, and roughly a quarter mile south of the Left and Right Comedy Crags, Cuzcotopia is a tall, sharp, and mostly dark limestone, chert-banded cliff face. Some routes take fairly striking lines for overall difficulty level, which is largely moderate. Some routes reach over 100'. It is very generously bolted, so it's a pretty good place to bring a new leader who's not yet comfortable with longer outdoor runouts. It can be chilly when in the shade.

Getting There

Take the trail that starts just to the right of Comedy Left, heading roughly 400' uphill via clear switchbacks and ledges. You'll top out this hike under a tall wall with its own climbs on it, Comedy Central. From there, a roughly quarter mile hike along the trail from the righthand edge of this wall with take you past some other smaller walls, until you're under Cuzcotopia.
