Description Suggest change

Several boulders of varying size can be found on the hillside just north of Gunpowder falls and west of Falls Road. The rock type is a combination of schist, metagreywacke, and quartzite. There is a small top-roping crag up the hill past the boulders called Rapid Rock Hollow.

Getting There Suggest change

Park in the small lot for the Gunpowder Falls trailhead - located on the west side of Falls Road, a few hundred yards southwest of the bridge. From the lot, walk down the road towards the bridge and cross it (being mindful of traffic.) After you cross the bridge, locate a steep trail on the left that descends into a creek/drainage. Follow that trail and you'll come to the boulders in less than a minute.

GPS coords of the boulders: 39.61973° N, 76.69069° W
