Description
On BLM land across from the salmon counter at the Shasta-Klamath River mouth. Lots of potential mixed in with lots of choss. Typical Klamath slopes poison oak and blackberries. A nice choss pile crag for folks with 2 hour callback
Getting There
From Yreka take 263 North to the junction of Highway 96. From Ashland take Highway 5 South to the Highway 96 exit then drive 96 West to the 263 junction. From Willow Creek drive 96 East.
Park in the large pullout and either walk downhill to the river or to the pullout in front of salmon counter road. Walk down that road past an old homestead with apple trees to the second of two cable cars across the river then wade across the concrete slab. Follow the overgrown path to the base of the faces.
