Please be advised: State Rangers know of the area and, due to the unwanted potential impact and concerns w.r.t hiking, crash pads, etc, have strongly encouraged very VERY small groups of people at any point going toward and beyond that direction. Small groups of no more than 2-3 people are advised. This will NOT change for the foreseeable future.
Permits can be acquired at the ranger station on the way to the boulders from the upper Tramway station.
Description
Upper Atlantis boasts all lowball problems, the majority having the potential to be much harder if you’re tall! Great problems for kids and a lot of really low starts (a few lie down starts too!). The least condensed area of Atlantis with the farthest boulder (The Poorman’s Boulder) topping out the western border. Highlights for the area: Ares, Apollo, Inertia, and the undone/project Apollo Sit.
