Please be advised: State Rangers know of the area and, due to the unwanted potential impact and concerns w.r.t hiking, crash pads, etc, have strongly encouraged very VERY small groups of people at any point going toward and beyond that direction. Small groups of no more than 2-3 people are advised. This will NOT change for the foreseeable future.

Permits can be acquired at the ranger station on the way to the boulders from the upper Tramway station.

Description

This boulder is tucked away near the streambed. Very unassuming until you turn the corner and see the line. It burns in the sunlight for most of the day, with shade only near or at sundown.
