2022 updates
In 2020 the Northwest Montana Climbers Coalition replaced almost all of the anchors at Peck Gulch and rerouted the trail to the walls. Ignore the directions in the Hawk guide; approaching these crags from the highway above is terrible! In 2022, the homemade hangers on 1/4-in. bolts on Zeus, Medusa, and Minotaur were replaced with ASCA-donated 1/2-in. stainless bolts by the NWMTCC.
Getting There
Ignore the directions to these walls in the Hawk guide! The trail has been rerouted!
Drive approx. 7.5 miles south of the Lake Koocanusa bridge to the turn-off for the Peck Gulch campground (signed). Drive down the campground driveway and park near the pit toilets. Walk down the paved boat launch heading north and you will find a cairn in the talus to the right of the launch almost in the water (when the lake is at full-pool). Follow a vague trail through the talus for about 100 ft. to a trail sign and follow a good trail through the woods to the crags, about a 10-minute approach to the first crag.
When the reservoir is at its lowest level in the spring it's possible to drive in the lake bed and park almost directly below the crags and schwack up to the trail from there.
