Access Issue: Restrictions January 1 - April 30 Details

There is an annual closure from Jan 1 - Apr 30 prohibiting travel more than 400' off of established trails due to bighorn sheep lambing season. The current order can be found here ( fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DO…) but will be extended when the current order expires.

Description

The COC formation is 200" tall and is located 1.5 miles up Pima Canyon, 20 min up the hill on the right.

Getting There

The formation is located half way up the 2nd drainage north of the tree bench camp 45-50 min up the trail.

Roughly 1.5 miles up Pima Canyon. From the tree bench camp site, start up the hill on the right. Immediately cut left over to the drainage and follow carins up stream for 10 min. where it gets steep turn left up trough and over ridge, then into the next canyon to the north. head up canyon to the base of the climbs.
