Description

Boulder close to the river with a distinctive protruding face hanging 6 or more feet off the deck. Hosts a few problems, but is pretty vegetated and has multiple downed trees leaning against it that would likely interfere with climbing on one of the faces (for now).

Getting There

After crossing the covered bridge to the Rim Road side, cross over the guard rail and take a small trail up and around the mossy slab (Hidden in Plain Sight boulder). Continue around Hidden in Plain Sight and back downhill toward the river. The Death Boulder is obvious from its distinctive horizontal bands that protrude beyond the support of the boulder on one end and the graffiti on its face.
