Description Suggest change

This is a nice side canyon off the main road with long, moderately overhanging routes. The main wall faces west with shade until afternoon. Bear Den faces east and had shade in late afternoon. The bottom of the canyon is shady all day. A stick clip is highly recommended, some routes require a 70m rope, bring a helmet for the belayer- routes have been cleaned, but expect some maple fresh rock action until they are more trafficked. This is a beautiful and isolated micro canyon, please do your best to enjoy, preserve, and not trash it. The bases of routes are built up and manageable, but the steep, loose, narrow canyon isn't accommodating for poo, big groups of people and dogs, etc. Most routes have overhanging rock at bottom and top with vertical sections in the middle.

Getting There Suggest change

5 min approach. Park near Bumper Wall and hike to Eco-Terrorist wall, follow it right, (down canyon), through a small notch. You will immediately see Shady Acres canyon and main wall on your right. Bear Den is slightly left and up canyon of the main wall, (visible), traverse from the small buttress that splits the canyon.
