Description Suggest change

Along with Hibox, Three Queens is the dominating monarch of Kachess Lake. It has three distinctive summits, hence the name, but looks more boxlike from the west. It was first climbed in 1925 by some Mountaineers. Like the nearby peaks, the rock is often loose, and few real rock routes have been made. Most climbs require a short 4th or 5th class section with a lot of off-trail hiking and ridge scrambling.

Getting There Suggest change

It can be approached from several directions, including Mineral Creek and Cooper Pass. Gullies and long slopes lead from the Mineral Creek Trail to the base of the formations on the south side, or the long east ridge can be hiked.
