Description Suggest change

Slab Camp is a half-mile long, double horseshoe crag located 20 minutes from downtown Morehead, KY. The crag features approximately 60 sport and traditional routes, first developed in the 1990s. Currently, route hardware is being upgraded on many of the routes to stainless steel glue in bolts and anchors. New routes will be added once they have been rebolted. Do not climb on anything that is not a glue in bolt.

Getting There Suggest change

From Jones Ridge Road, turn onto Bowman Cemetery Rd and follow it past the cemetery, down into the forest and to the power line clearing where you will find a small parking area. Begin walking on the obvious trail. You will walk a few minute before the trail splits.
Slab Camp Left: Take the right trail to access Slab Camp left, and walk approximately 5 minutes before the trail begins to descend downhill. Look for the obvious trail on your right that will take you to the cliffline.
Slab Camp Right: Take the left fork and walk approximately 5 minutes before the main trail turns to the right and takes you to a ravine. Walk down the ravine and turn right to access the cliffline.
