Description Suggest change

On the east face of Sheep Peak, above Roosevelt Lake, there are a number of buttresses with quality granite. This is the middle one, and the most obvious one to climb first.

Getting There Suggest change

Same as Sheep Peak. Get to the north end of Roosevelt Lake.

Descent

Suggest change

If you are headed back to the north end of Roosevelt Lake, there is a descent to the north end of the buttresses-- cross over the sandy plateau at the top to a steep chute just left of the northern most buttress. It appeared from the footsteps we saw this may have been used by peak baggers to get back to Roosevelt Lake.

Alternatively, if you came from Conness Meadows, there is an easy walk off the sandy summit area to the south that will take you towards the south end of Roosevelt Lake and the meadows.
