Getting There
Hiking Routes
As it is a fairly gentle and mostly subalpine peak, Silver has many possibilities for hiking routes.
South Spur - Hike south on the PCT from whatever car junction you prefer - FS Road 9070 reaches the closest but is rather rough. From 9070, hike ~2 miles south. Eventually you will come to a turnoff (the Silver Peak trail); go west upslope until you reach the crest of the South Spur. From there follow the trail north to the summit. Class 1; slightly exposed for a few seconds on the ridge crest near the summit, but never more difficult than hiking.
Anette Lake - Hike the Anette Lake trail to slightly before the lake, or to the lake and around on the northeast side, and hike upslope. There may be seasonal 'trails' leading up to the Silver Peak trail; from there finish as for the South Spur. Class 1.
