Description Suggest change

Just 1/2 mile across the east channel from Sandpoint are the East Channel Curtains. These curtains are a 1/2 mile long and 10-50 meters high. Can be difficult to set up a top rope, but there are a couple steep scrambles. 

Getting There Suggest change

It is tempting to cross the east channel directly as it is a short walk. Beware, however, that there is a strong current and the ice is thin in spots. Every season there are snowmobiles or people that poke through. The MUCH safer, albeit longer, approach is to cross at the ferry.
