The Clarksville Greenway is a City Park owned and operated by Clarksville Parks and Recreation. Since it's a city park, there's not much to complain about in regards to access. Generally speaking, the only people you'll find are runners, bikers, and walkers, so please be courteous and keep gear out of their way and not on the paved trail. If you can endure the heat and stickiness of the Tennessee summer, then bouldering here is available year-round, as the trails are shaded from the sun by a vast canopy of trees.

The Greenway hosts various boulders and walls alongside and around its paved hiking trails. As is characteristic of other Clarksville stone, most of the rock found here is limestone, however, beware of the flaky shale boulders that are also in the area. As bouldering is new to the Greenway, many of the walls, boulders, and problems are chossy, dirty, overgrown with vines and plants, or a healthy mix of all three. Because of this, both crash pads and spotters are highly recommended. Nonetheless, the area still has potential, so don't allow yourself to become discouraged by a little mank.

Getting There Suggest change

Clarksville Greenway Parking Lot address: 1101 Pollard Rd, Clarksville, TN 37042

Directions From I-24:
Take exit 4 onto Wilma Rudolph and towards the downtown area. After a few miles, make a right on Kraft Street and follow it down to the intersection at the river. From there, take a right onto Providence Blvd., follow it a little ways and take a right on Peachers Mill. Not far after turning on Peachers Mill will be another right turn onto Pollard Road, which dead ends at the parking lot of the Clarksville Greenway.

Directions from Warfield Boulevard / 101st Airborne Div. Parkway (traveling north or south):
Follow Warfield/101st (374) until you come across the light at Peachers Mill. Turn onto the southerly portion of Peachers Mill like you're headed to Heritage Sports Park (large soccer fields, pavilion, and skate park visible from the road) and head down until you see Pollard Road on your left. Take a left on Pollard and follow it until it dead-ends into the parking lot.

Upon arrival, follow either trail to designated boulders/walls within the sub-areas. The path is paved and makes for easy walking or biking to your boulder(s) of interest. Happy bouldering!
