Description Suggest change

The cliff lays just off the trail and a bit up hill to the right. Stay on obvious trail that heads to the left of the face to limit erosion and practice Leave No Trace principles. Bears are in the area; be bear aware. The rock face has a few loose holds and tapping on suspect holds is a good idea. Climbing on the face a few holds and foot holds have broken off. The cliffs here do not receive direct sunlight due to the dense canopy of the forest.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the main Chilkat State Park directions to get to this sub-area. From the State Park trail head parking lot follow the trail 0.8 miles to where another trail breaks rightward. Follow this trail roughly 0.5 miles and passing the first set of scraggly cliffs. Continue on to the second set that sits just up hill and to the right. You will notice 4 bolted lines on a short clean face.
