Description
A gem of a crag tucked away in the trees on the south side of Ogden Canyon. Overshadowed by the prominent Grey Cliffs across the way, Killer Crag can be easy to miss. Routes here offer thought provoking climbing and though they're bolted graciously, they tend to feel a bit adventurous. This limestone is excellent quality and is mostly vertical to slightly overhanging. These routes appear to have been neglected for some years, some traffic would do them well.
Getting There
From the Ogden Canyon waterfall, drive 2.3 miles up canyon. At a leftward bend just before the Alaskan in, look for an obvious pullout on the right side of the road. From here, the Killer Crag can be seen just peeking through the tree line. Walk southwest up the gully where you'll find a faint trail leading you to some grassy ledges. Hike to the top tier of the grassy ledge system and find the steep trail leading you back into the trees. Follow these switchbacks for approximately 15 minutes. While angling west you'll notice a giant cave 20 yards uphill (The Inner Struggle Wall). Continue west, passing this formation by approximately 100 yards The Yoda Cave wall will come into view. Begin circling uphill and back east passing by The Yoda Cave. Follow the trail for 5 more minutes and you'll arrive in the middle of Killer Crag. Enjoy!
