Description Suggest change

The guidebook author refers to the Dr. Seuss Wall as a compact wall which hosts eleven established routes from 5.4 - 5.10a. The wall ranges from thirty feet in height on the left end to around seventy feet on the right or south end. The Dr. Seuss Wall is a great place for beginners and kids as it's an easy scramble to access the bolted TR anchors. Be aware that none of the routes on the left end of the Dr. Seuss Wall are equipped for rappelling. However, the shared anchor for Free Range McHam, Green Eggs & Ham, and Unknown at the right (south) end of the wall is equipped with screwlinks for rappelling.

Getting There Suggest change

Continue on McKinley Grove Road  past Portal Road to PG&E campsite #15 on the left. While it is easiest to accesss the Dr. Seuss Wall by walking through campsite #15 and skirt Vulgar Display of Power (5.13a) on the right to a faint trail. If the campsite is occupied it is possible to walk south on the road for a couple hundred feet to approach the crag.
