Description Suggest change

This band of rock starts short in height and increases up to a maximum of 30 feet tall. Several routes have been established here, however, it has not been well documented yet.

Getting There Suggest change

Directions to the parking lot are found in the main folder "Alberton" including how to find the trailhead. An easy 3/4 mile walk down the trail / old road (10 to 15 minutes) will bring you to Alberton Rock the 50' tall cliff with its base right at the side of the trail, almost impossible to miss. From the top of Alberton Rock head 250 feet straight West paralleling the old road on a very vague trail. Or from the road/trail pass Alberton Rock by about 150 feet and look for a faint trail heading up the hillside for about 200'. The rock is hard to see in summer with all the foliage and can also get choked with briers.
