North facing, on beautiful black and reddish-brown rock

Getting There

From the end of Monument slot road, hike East passing the "Peter Gabriel cliff" on your right. Scramble up the Boulder-choked gully between the formations. Staying on the right side most of the way is definitely easier! After about 5 minutes to the top, keep hiking East down the next gully with a boulder that looks like it's blocking the way but isn't. After the boulder it flattens into a wash that may have water in it. When the gully ends, don't go up, but follow the wash to the left. "Punk rock" is on your right, "R.K.L." is on the center of the North face. Total hiking time, 10 - 15 minutes. It is also approximately 200 ft. behind and directly North of Earthday Dome, so you could also hike from the
"Candy store" or the "Penguins" parking area, to the Earthday Dome, it might be flatter, but a bit longer hike.
