Description
This is a single boulder that is about as epic as all the other bouldering that Park City doesn't have. This is an arrow shaped boulder in an old quarry that somehow did not get turned into a water fall at the entrance to a local gated community.
The sandstone boulder is kind of arrowhead shaped with aretes and faces of varying steepnesses. There are edges and old bullet holes to hold on to. It is in a quiet, low traffic part of the Round Valley trail network. The climbing may not be epic but it's a nice relaxing spot to spend some time.
Someone may or may not have done a knife blade aid traverse. It would be a good spot for one. Bring your shoes and name some problems. I only had my New Balance 420s so wasn't able to properly send.
Getting There
Exit HIGHway 40 at the Silver Summit exit. Get on the frontage road on the Round Valley side of the freeway(not the Home Depot side). Park in the Highland Drive Trailhead parking lot. Mtn Bikes are the quickest approach or just walk. Take the paved bike path parallel to the freeway then turn right on the first dirt road (Round Valley Express). Follow this until you see the boulder on the right.
