Access Issue: Restrictions January 1 - April 30 Details

There is an annual closure from Jan 1 - Apr 30 prohibiting travel more than 400' off of established trails due to bighorn sheep lambing season. The current order can be found here ( fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DO…) but will be extended when the current order expires.

Description

One of the first boulders as you head up the hill off the trail. This is a very obvious, large, beautiful boulder. It probably had another name at some point but with the obscurity of information for linda vista I decided to post it as the art boulder since it has rock art on it.

On that note: do not climb on or near the part of the boulder that contains rock art. That should go without saying. There is a problem on the face to the right of the art, if you're starting it correctly you will be too far away to be near the art with any of your limbs.
