Description

Sweden's little neighbor. A fun short wall that may lack height but makes up for it with fun moves and excellent rock.

Getting There

From the Meadow, follow the climbers trail to the Lower Replica (the lowest most obvious triangular 130ft cliff). Instead of following the trail uphill to the right, take a left and follow a trail over a small scree slide for about 150 ft. The short cliff is located below the tall wall with prominent roofs that is Sweden. The first route you'll run into is Love Your Shotgun.

The moderates on this little crag provide a great warm up - which is hard to come by otherwise without hiking all the way up to the Bud Wall. It is very easy to find, and while it doesn't look like much when you look down at it, the rock is quite good and the routes pack a lot of climbing into their short height.

Hike down right next to the face and watch for stinging nettles (we were there early August). We trampled the nettles pretty well right at the base of the climbs and if this spot got a bit more use, the nettle issue would be minimized.

Note that these routes don't have anchors, just a single bolt with a leaver-biner at the top. Aug 8, 2017
