Description

The Lower Crags sit above the cluster of boulders about 2 miles from the Sweathouse Creek Trailhead. Most of these climbs are sport climbs but a few good trad climbs are found here too all are single pitch and a 60 meter rope is fine.

Getting There

Hike 2 miles up canyon from TH until you reach an obvious cluster of very large boulders. The climbs will be found on the north side of the canyon above the boulders. Once you reach the beginning of the clustered big boulders, hike up uneven talus for less than a quarter mile and you will have found this crag.

I have climbed at this crag now a couple of times, and it is a shame that these routes were not cleaned better when developed. All of the climbs have fun and thoughtful movement, but in general all suffer from kitty litter granite, loose blocks, dirt and vegetation. With some cleaning they would all be great routes. Hey! Glad you have gotten out climb those routes. They definitely suffer from what you have described. I have logged in a pretty absurd amount of time putting the routes in and getting them to what they are now. Any time and work you put into them is greatly appreciated! Oct 8, 2017
