Description

The Preemie boulders are where you'll wind up if you pull out too early. These are the boulders accessed from the first parking lot on Redington Road. Theres some good rock in the area, but also plenty of choss.

If these boulders already have a name let me know and I'll update the page. We didn't see evidence of anyone climbing here, thus we made up the name.

Getting There

These are the boulders accessed from the obvious first parking lot on Redington Road. Head down the path past a sign about diving safety. Once you hit the river bed head upstream to the very large boulder about 200m ahead. The climbs are in the boulders below.

I think I was doing Toad or Frog about 30 years ago and some drunk guy decided he wanted to fight me. Weird stuff happens in that canyon. Apr 5, 2017

As the name suggests, it's probably not worth coming down the canyon at this point unless you did so by accident. However, there's certainly more to do (in particular, an overhung fist/offwidth boulder down in the riverbed about 100 ft upstream of the big overhung block, probably necessitating some big pads.
