Description Suggest change

Heaps of amazing rock that the glacier has polished to perfection! (still Alaska). There are a number of cliffs up and down both sides of the valley that have not yet seen much attention so I would encourage some more folks to head back this way for a few FA's.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive to the end of Airport Road and park at the small town park located next to the lake. Hike along the west and north edge of the lake to find a trail that follows the base of West Peak from the gravel pit to Valdez Glacier. This trail head can be tricky to locate due to construction and vagetation yet once your on it your good to go all the way to the glacier. The ice is changing every year where the trail hits the glacier so conditions may very. once on the ice pick your way up this incredible valley to a number of walls on both sides that are waiting to be developed. There is also amazing ice climbing to be had back here in the winter.
