Washington Run Gorge (Perryopolis) Climbing

From Route 51 Southbound, turn left at Independence Street in Perryopolis. Follow Independence Street through the circle, bearing with road as it changes into Navy Street, then Layton Road. Once you pass the sewage plant, cliffs start to appear. the first one is on the right, but is almost always waterlogged. Across the road from it, there is a cliff line, the is mostly shale, with someone sketchy sandstone at the upstream end. For these two, parking is at the sewage plant. After that, You'll come up on a small one lane concrete bridge (called the "High Bridge"). To your right immediately after the bridge is the Overhang crag, then about 50 yards down the road on the left is the Road Cut crag. Both of these have pull offs by the them. To get to the last three areas, the Yough Cliffs and the approach rocks, turn on the road immediately before the tunnel. Parking for these areas are at the bike trail.
