Description

This area has never been mapped or publicized in detail. Few travel to this area of the mountain because it takes work. With visitation comes development and the loss of the unexplored; the "frontier" that permits us to discover and feel as though we are the first or at least among only a few to have traveled to or through a land. If and when you search out the climbing in this area give some thought to the history that pervades every inch of the mountain around you. Soldiers of both the North and South armies in the American Civil War walked, fought, lived and died in these woods.

This area has one really nice 12-15ft high block facing east, a nice highball face in a little cove, and a variety of other smaller stones. Mostly youÂ’ll find whitetail deer, peace, quiet, and early morning light.
