Description
Located a short boat ride from Nelson's Resort and other launch points in Crane Lake, the Vermillion Gorge is a future destination for top belay climbing and bouldering opportunities. The Gorge can also be reached via the Vermillion Gorge Hiking Trail (see link below).
This trail is located in Superior National Forest, which states:
There are no designated or maintained climbing areas on the Forest, so climbers are on their own to choose, plan, and execute safe climbs. Climbers should use temporary anchors and hardware, and be wary of any anchors left behind by other climbers. Any anchors you may find were not installed or maintained by the Forest Service.
