Description Suggest change

A large conglomerate boulder that fell across the stream and consequentially has a cool little tunnel cut through it where the stream flows. The rock is rather dirty so make sure to bring your brushes and a broom. The best times of year to monkey around here is probably in the winter when the stream is completely frozen over or in the early fall. Avoid spring climbing entirely, mid summer is fine. Lange said when he was a wee scamp he would block up this tunnel to make the water pool up to the point that he could safe fall while sending the arete. A stunt like that would probably land you behind bars these days

Getting There Suggest change

Located aprox 1 mile from the toll gate. You will see a red steel bridge next to the road on the east side of the canyon. Walk 5 to 10 feet past it and then go east down toward the stream. You can cross the stream on a large log and then head south about 10 feet to Lange's Boulder.
