Echo Canyon Seasonal Closure: Jan. 1 - second Saturday in April Details
The Echo Canyon climbing areas are located within the Henefer-Echo Wildlife Management Area. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources closes all access to the WMA each year from January 1 to the second Saturday in April to protect wintering wildlife.
Getting ThereFrom I-80 take exit 169 and drive east for 2.0 miles to a small canyon on the left (north) side of Echo Canyon Road. A dirt road starts into the canyon and ends abruptly. Park either on the side of Echo Canyon Road or up the short dirt road. Follow the canyon trail up the bottom of the canyon.
