If someone has clearer info on this place, I will update, just gonna go with what my friends and I have called the place and climbs.

This small area boasts a great bridge jump into a deep section of the Truckee, and several decent water solos along another good cliff jumping spot.
The cliff band also has a rocky beach across from it. The rocky beach often has people hanging out at it.

This area could definitely use the climbing community stopping in every once in a while, it could use a good cleanup, that is for sure.

Also, if you are going to jump off the Farad Bridge know that it is private property and they don't like people doing it. I've seen a sheriff stop by telling people he would write tickets for jumping. Just be smart about it. As far as I know the cliffs themselves are public lands.

Getting There

Getting to Farad cliffs is pretty easy. From Reno, drive hwy 80 west and turn around at the Farad Exit (201). Head 80 east for 2.1 miles, or about 0.7mi before the River Rock pullout. Pull over into the dirt parking area alongside the bend left of hwy 80.

Continue down the steep trail. This will put you at the Farad Bridge. Continue East alongside the railroad tracks for a few hundred yards and cut right after a rock-band onto a decent trail. This trail should take you to the beach and cliffs. Approach is around 10 minutes, probably less.
