Access Issue: Frequent Peregrine Falcon Closures about Feb-July on MD Heights,  Mandatory Sign in for Maryland Heights. WV and VA crags are Closed to climbing. Details

Description

There are roughly 4 tiers/levels of rock to climb on. The lowest tier/level is very close to the road, though 25 feet above it. The area is primarily south facing and is bomber quartzite. In between the tiers on the west side are slabby to vertical walls that sometimes hold problems. Most of the landings are flat and nice.
There is a mixture of low ball and high ball problems. There are slabs and overhangs. The area is great for circuiting and cruising a bunch of boulder problems in a short distance/time.
There are also rope routes that can be tradded or toproped.

Getting There

The approach is really short. You can see the bottom two tiers from the road as they are within 100 feet.
