Description Suggest change

The Skookumchuck flood plains provide some exciting bouldering on almost solid basalt. The problems tend to be on the taller side and the rock quality varias from solid to complete choss. On the plus side the scenery is nice and there are three mini granitic glacier erratics. If you live down here these are nice to check out or if you fly fish the boulders could provide a mid day adventure.

Getting There Suggest change

From Olympia head south on Old Highway 99 (Capital Boulevard). Once in Tenino turn LEFT onto Hy 507 towards Raineer. Next, turn RIGHT onto Johnson Creek Rd. and the boulders will be off of this road as well as Skookumchuck Rd.
