Description
Totally sunny (what do you expect - you are on a beach). No cover except for the overhang of the climbing boulder. Was empty when I got there, then about 30 kids from a youth camp hit the beach and stayed for a couple hours.
Only one climbing spot, the boulder dead center on the beach. If you are in the area and need a climbing fix, this may be the only place to get it. The boulder is about 20 feet tall, and has about three climbing aspects. The easiest (V0) is on the ocean-side, and has partially-buried rocks in the sand that make things a little less safe. On the west and east sides is more challenging climbing but a soft sandy landing that doesnt even require a crashpad.
rock was solid, and offered plenty of holds. I was there at lowtide. At hightide I'm sure the water will cover the base of the boulder.
