Access Issue: Do not park in the camping/parking area that has the river crossing for the Hardware Wall between June 15 and October 1 Details

There is sometimes a sign that says no camping, but according to the rangers it also means no parking. This pullout is rented by the Stockman Cattle Ranch between those dates and they need to be able to back up their trailer into this spot to put cattle in the corral. It's very important to respect this rule. We could lose access to this area if our relationship with the rangers deteriorates over this issue. Based on numerous interactions with the rangers, it is clear that they are watching out for climbers. Please park under the trees out by the road or in the big open field adjacent to the horse pens. Please pick up your trash (maybe some of the redneck's trash too), pack out your poop, and be polite.

Description

Nice shady limestone crag. Most routes are in the mid 5.12 range with a few harder and a few easier.

Getting There

Turn on to Left Hand Fork road. Follow the road until you reach the Friendship Campground, continue and then pass the Spring Campground. Keep going. You'll pass the Blacksmith Wall on the right and about .5 miles further you'll come to the Right Hand Fork road on the left. At this intersection continue for about 30 yards and find a place to park. From here, hike toward the stream on the right, cross it, and then find a trail that leads to the cliff. The stream crossing is just to the left of the horse pens. The first route that you come to is Native American Graffiti.

NOTE: Do not park down the road marked with a "no camping" signpost during the specified dates (~June to October). Doing so obstructs access to a horse pen. You can instead park just before the road with the signpost in a wooded clearing.
