Getting weather forecast...

Description

South-facing, granite slab of good rock quality with good beginner trad routes and a couple easy sport routes. Very sunny, not crowded.

Getting There

Drive 2.3 miles East of Holcomb Valley Campground on 3N16. Park in the North-West-facing turn out on the North side of the road. The crag is a about a tenth of a mile North of the turn out and can be seen from the road.

your legs will def burn after getting off these routes, 100% slab at its finest Aug 28, 2012
Was out at Tanglewood Slab over the weekend, came across a 35 foot formation 35 to 40 feet above Tanglewood Slab that had two bolts but no anchors and no beta anywhere I've checked. If you are at the top of any of the routes on Tanglewood and you look directly north you cannot miss this formation or the two bolts, it's like 10 steps above it. Could be someone was looking to put up a new route and ran out of time to finish putting it up correctly or didn't have the top bolts/chains and or wanted it as a place to practice Trad anchors. We ran it and it felt like 5.3 to 5.5 depending on if you started on the right or left side of the face at the bottom. If someone knows the name of this route and or can we add it to the data base? I suggest "Wireless Copier" for a name as it's very similar to the routes below it on Tanglewood Slab or "Tanglewood Minor" as it's a much smaller formation? Oct 30, 2017
