Description
The haven is a bouldering area recently discovered (April 2011) The potential is amazing. The rock is compact welded tuff. The quality is higher than average for the rock type. The area is near farm-land so please be courteous to avoid access issues. Park as far back on the dirt road as you can.
Getting There
Drive west on Highway 56. Upon reaching the sweet hills drive about half a mile further looking for a dirt road on your left. The dirt road is bumblebee drive. The road will double back to the east before heading south. Follow the road for about 1.5 miles. Look for an opening in the fence with no gate on your right. After going through the opening you should see a memorial for the mule deer foundation of cedar city. If you do not see this you may be on private land. Take the road to the left of the sign. Stay on this road until it dead ends. (don't take the road that splits off to the left 50 yards down) The road may be a little rough on low clearance vehicles but you should be able to get half way down the road before being forced to park off to the right. The parking area is a dead end loop the boulders will be obvious from here.
