Overshadowed by its huge and more popular neighbor, Mt. Rainier, Little Tahoma is a serious climb none the less. Once part of Mt. Rainier, it is now a satellite peak. It is Washingtons third highest peak, behind Rainier and Adams. 818' prominence. Glacier travel is required to summit this peak. The Beckey guide describes four routes to the summit. The East Shoulder is the standard route. Grade II+ steep snow and ice via Fryingpan/Whitman glaciers. This route can also be approached from Paradise, via the Cowlitz and Ingraham glaciers.
