Getting weather forecast...

Description

This is a secluded area that hosts a couple good boulders. The rock quality that I've seen so far is great. It can get somewhat windy, but what's new?

Eds. Technically, this is not on Telephone Rd and is in a distinct area. With the addition of other routes, this may warrant a subarea of its own.
Dirt roads reopened as of June 2014 Details

Getting There

From I-80, Take Happy Jack Road exit 323 for 4 miles and take a left on Telephone Road. (Set odometer now.) Follow dirt road for 2.3 miles and take a right on 712. Follow 712 for 1.2 miles (3.5 total) and take a slight left onto 714. Follow 714 for 0.6 miles (4.1 total) and take a slight right onto 713. Follow 713 for 2.3 miles (6.4 total). At this point, you should see an old, wooden, private property sign. Take a left on 713E.

I just figured I'd add it to Telephone Rd. because you have to take Telephone road to get to 713E. I will probably add a new area for it once I run into more than just one or two boulders on 713E.

As far as the project, I felt it was good enough quality to post to motivate people to get up on the boulder, so it can see some traffic. But it is a great boulder and I hope to find some more good ones in the area, so I can move it out of Telephone Road area. Apr 26, 2011
This area should be moved to a different section as it is not on Telephone Rd. Maybe an area all to its own seeing that it is in the middle of nowhere, past Eagle Rock and even beyond the Middle of Nowhere Boulders. I would be cautious about adding projects. If we all added projects, we would have many hundreds just for the Vedauwoo section of this site and would be flooded in a mass of too much media.

Keep doing those new problems, though. They are good additions to the area. Looking forward to seeing what else you find. Apr 25, 2011
