Description
Getting to the Prow area involves a bit of a hike but it's worth the effort. The area offers some of Gretna's most inspiring lines and has quality problems across grades. Either hike straight in and warm up on the aptly named Warm Up Crack (V1) and Chet's Children (V2) or project the area and send the classic Islander (V7) and Prow (V7). While you're there be sure to check out the surprisingly good IT (V5) and crank out a few dozen laps on Serenity Crack(V0).
Most problems have good landings but a few wander so bring at least two pads.
Getting There
Take trail beside nature center into the forest. At first three-way trail junction go Right. At second three-way junction go Right and head downhill a short way to third three-way junction. Go Left and follow white blazed trail for a while until you see the Highball boulder on left side of trail. Skirt around the backside of the Highball boulder and take the access trail leading uphill until the trail levels. Continue on the level ground for a few minutes until the trail winds into the Prow Area.
