Choo Choo Rock Rock Climbing

Head down the paved nature trail (with the rail) from the parking lot. Immediately turn right down a well-established dirt nature trail that follows the top of the ridge southward.  At the end of the nature trail scramble down into the wash (there might be water) and cross the creek just above a 20' waterfall.  Follow a big gully up on the far side.  The trail exits the creek on bedrock but quickly becomes well established and easy to follow.  Look for cairns.   Follow them up to the top of the streamside cliff band and then go right on a shelf (this is the top of It Cliff).  After the shelf, the trail trends upward.  Ahead you can see (from top to bottom) Weathertop, Choo Choo Rock, and Wall of the Flying Scorpians.  As you near Wall of the Flying Scorpians take a left upward forking trail to the base of Choo Choo Rock.
