Description

This is the 3rd climbable crag. Visible from the bike trail, but not nearly as visible as the School House Wall. After the short hop through the woods from bike trail to crag, You'll find yourself standing below the bulging, overhanging, 90' tall Central Area wall. Plenty of moderates to the left and you'll find the harder stuff is to the right. Also of NOTE: there is a short, but very strenuous Right wall if you skirt under the overhangs and move right of the main cliff.

Getting There

Downstream apprx. 1/2 mile from School House crag about 4.25 miles downstream from Ohiopyle (apprx. 25min by bicycle). The crag access trail is on your left across from bench and pulloff after white mile marker 76 on bike trail. This crag can also be accessed by Hiking up from Bruner Run take out apprx. 1.4 miles.

The exact GPS coordinates of the Maple Wall access trailhead is (39.9139317, -79.4775194). If you walk on the GAP trail, at this GPS location, look for a large black rock on one side of the trail, and a bench on the opposite side of the trail. Next to the black rock, you'll see a sign that says "76 Maple Wall". This is the entrance of the Maple Wall access trail. Walk for another 2-3 minutes and you'll find a tall wall in front of you - it's the Maple Wall.
