Description

This Reservoir sits in northern Baltimore County, and has the tallest rock formations to my knowledge of all three reservoirs. Because of this areas geographical location, there are lots and lots of hidden cliffs and boulders in this area. This is also the only area where I know there is a history of climbing, as evidence of old bolts in the dam area.

On another note, this area is home to Timber Rattle Snakes and Copperheads, both of which are poisonous.

I life near Prettyboy Reservoir and have hiked around in it quite a bit.
Wonderful people sneak in and party in the reservoir and, rather than carry their bottles out, they throw them against the cliffs. We tried to clean up one short little route right off the parking lot with a wire brush. Impossible. As soon as you think it is all off you find another big chunk just waiting to saw on your rope.
There may be other rocks and routes in there, but I won't carry a rope in until someone posts one. Jul 3, 2017
