Getting There [Suggest Change]

1. Head west on NV-431 (Mt Rose Hwy) 5.4 mi
2. Turn right at N Timberline Dr 1.2 mi
3. Slight left at NFD 049 Rd 1.8 mi

There will be a pull out on your left. If you get to the steep hill that does a bunch of switch backs, you went to far. From this hill you can easily see the rocks though.

When you park, walk up the road you drove in on maybe 100 yards. On your left will be a distinct mountain bike/hoarse/walking trail. Go on this. Walk for maybe 150 yards or so. You will come to a fallen over tree on your left. It is covering a not so obvious walking trail. It is pretty hard to find. If you do find it, follow it. After maybe 25 yards you will come to the creek, cross it and continue on the trail up the hill. This takes you right to the base.

The main wall is to your right when you cross the creek...if you head to the left, there is a smaller, more over-hanging wall with a few harder routes put up by Steve Glotfelty...I'm not sure the grades--I think 11s. Mar 1, 2009

Ya. I have climbed on those before. They are harder and have some run out bolts. Mar 3, 2009

There appears to be new routes here. Anybody familier with these grades?

1 long one as your walking up to the main wall on left. Left side of gully

2 up in the gully to the left of main wall,

2 to the right of torch light, short over hanging

1 or 2 on the white wall up the canyon. Oct 11, 2012

Not sure of the grade of the longish climb on the left wall. It's a bouldery start to some easy climbing up to a difficult roof. I'd say maybe 5.11ish to clear the roof and I don't climb 5.11ish. Moved up through the very loose gully to see if I could get to the anchors from the top. I wouldn't have been able to but there is a single bolt 20' above the anchors on a wall. It looks much farther down from there than it is. A 60m is plenty to rappel. I added a photo Jun 19, 2016
